This activity is part of the learning programme of the module "Spain: Political Decentralisation and Integration into Europe" (SPPO 2370/1), taught in all BA's in Spanish at the University of Leeds. It is aimed at facilitating students’ interaction and co-operation in the process of understanding the relationship between Spain and Europe in the last 30 years.

This documentary focuses on the topic of integration and intercultural relationships by exploring the life stories of adult migrants from Spain and Latin America who currently live in the UK. Their first-hand accounts deliver information on how they define and perceive their levels of integration and how language and cultural awareness has affected this process.

The key objective of the Langsnap Guides is to provide resources and materials for programme administrators and for study abroad participants. This first guide is focused on preparing students for a period of study abroad. It covers the following aspects: a) Adapting to unpredictable administrative and organizational differences b) Assessment and expectations of what an undergraduate student “should know” c) Studying complex topics in a foreign language d) Dealing with emotions related to this aspect of their experience. A suggested lesson plan for this guide is provided in the "notes" section of the Power Point. Note: You are welcomed to download and edit the materials in any way you need.
