Biography:
I work in Modern Languages, leading projects and collaborating across disciplines in the design and development of online courses and resources, and research into the educational uses of web 2.0 tools. I developed the pedagogy for the LOC Tool, I co-ordinate the work of online materials developers and deliver online tutor training programmes. I designed Prepare for Success (www.prepareforsuccess.org.uk) a free web learning resource for international students coming to study in the UK, and for their receiving institutions in the UK, and more recently, the Digital Literacies Toolkit (www.elanguages.ac.uk/digital_literacies.php), a free resource set for students and educators to explore the educational uses of Web 2.0 tools and develop good practice i nthe use of social software.
