Biography:
I work in Modern Languages, leading projects and collaborating across disciplines in the design and development of reusable Learning Objects (LOs), online courses, and associated tools for managing, sharing and customising these resources. I developed the pedagogy for the LOC Tool and designed our tutored, pre-arrival online courses for international students in living and studying in the UK, which combines a range of new technologies. I co-ordinate the work of e-materials developers and deliver e-developer and e-tutor training programmes. I also designed Prepare for Success (www.prepareforsuccess.org.uk) a free web learning resource for international students coming to study in the UK, and their receiving institutions in the UK.
